I had been seeing Dr. Kevin for several months of Spiritual Coaching and Counseling sessions when one day I found myself incapacitated with lower back pain. The simplest task hurt and I was fearful that I would be forced to have another surgery for a soon to be ruptured disk in my spine. A couple of years ago I was in search of help for my nephew, who was struggling and suicidal. That search lead me to the LightLines Holistic Healing Center run by Dr. Kevin Ross Emery, a highly respected holistic practitioner in my area. Though he was out of town at the time, on a book signing tour, we received help from one of his colleagues. She tracked Dr. Emery down and was able to provide guidance for us at that crucial time. I am writing to recmmend Dr. Kevin Ross Emery as a coach and counselor specializing in alternative treatments of ADD/ADHD. As the wife of and ADD diagnosed spouse, the mother of an ADHD seven year old son, and the mother of a five year old son who has been referred for an ADD diagnosis, I feel I am rather uniquely to make this recommendation.

Two years ago, our oldest son was struffling in kindergarten and had just been diagnosed with ADHD by a medical professional. In the written diagnosis, it was strongly recommended that our son be placed on Ritalin or some comparable medication to control his behavior. My husband and I were strongly opposed to taking such a drastic measure. We knew there had to be other choices. About this time a local newspaper ran an article about how Dr. Kevin had helped a local girl with ADD by using alternative means. I contacted Dr. Kevin's office and signed up for his upcoming ADD seminar. The seminar was based on his book Managing The Gift: Alternative Approaches to Attention Deficit Disorder. After hearing him speak and reading his book, we knew that we had found the person we were looking for to help our son.

Now almost two years later, our son is in second grade and doing well. It has not been an easy road managing a child with ADHD. However, our son is suceeding and it is without the use of pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kevin has helped us incorporate many alternative practices into out lives that have made all the difference. His approach for our son has included aromatherapy, herbal supplements, homeopathic medicines, dietary changes, environmental changes, Wei Chi Healing, as well as traditional talk therapy and teaching my husban and myself to understand our son's behavior patterns. Dr. Kevin is teaching our son that he is just different not disabled and how to "manage his gifts" in order to function within a not so accepting society. Dr. Kevin has also gone into the scohol with us to see that our son receives the proper accomodations within that setting for his continued success.

During this process of helping our son, it became apparent that my husband was also gifted with ADD. After formally being tested, it was discovered that, yes, he too has ADD. Not only did Dr. Kevin steer him toward getting the correct diagnosis, he has also offered my husband practical life skill suggestions (ie: organization, scheduling, time management, the use of lists) to help him manage this gift. And Dr. Kevin makes my husband accountable each week for his own progress. My husband is also using herbal and homeopathic medicines, under Dr. Kevin's care.

Throughout the course of all these events, Dr. Kevin has been right there to help me as well. He has provided immense support, helping me to understand and cope with the individual natures of ADD/ADHD for each member of my family.

And now as we prepare to face the reality that our youngest son also has ADD/ADHD, it comes with much less trepidation than two years ago. It will not be an easy road, but we now have a great many tools at our disposal and I have no doubt that should we need more, Dr. Kevin will provide them. He will help us to understand ADD in the context of how it affects our youngest son and how to best help him manage it.

In closing, based on my family's ongoing success, I would strongly recommend anyone looking for alternative means of helping a child or adult manage their gift of ADD/ADHD to contact Dr. Kevin.

I have worked with Dr. Kevin Ross Emery for over three years. Upon the recommendation of a friend I sought out his spiritual coaching. During this process, I was introduced to the Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki system. Although the spiritual counseling was extremely helpful and spurred true growth for me, the Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki process is the reason for my writing you today. It is an incredibly powerful process built on inquiry, self-exploration, discovery, learning, and growth.

Reiki was untouchable to me previously. I had always been interested, but found it difficult to satisfy my analytical standards about exactly what it is and how it works. The Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki system is head and shoulders above the rest for many reasons. One of which being the exacting standards that are the backbone of the system. As a professional with more than 13 years in the insurance industry, I recognize the importance of quality standards and credible evidence. With over 10 years of training design, development delivery expertise I can recognize the incredible value inherent in a deliberate, methodological approach as typified by this system.

All practitioners have progressed through a very specific set of detailed criteria which includes content and practical applications. The investment a practitioner offers of themselves, and their time is immense in order to meet these exacting standards. There is a minimum of 325 contact hours and 200 documented and reviewed, practical hours of training at the core of the practitioner certification process. This is unheard of in Reiki circles, in fact this is almost unparalleled in most accreditation processes in general. This degree of practicum is above reproach. And this is one element that quieted my internal critic and allowed me to be open and experience that which is the gift of Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki.

Upon completion of my treatment series (a focused series of seven progressive personal sessions) with James Sheller, I truly felt that what I had just experienced ought to be made available to as many people as possible. I am writing this letter today as a testimony to the incredible power that is Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki. I am dedicated to telling as many as possible, and to led a voice to the insights, balance and direction that are results of this system. Wei Chi Tibetan Reiki is truly one of the paragons of integrated health and wellness.

At our studio this past year, Dr. Kevin has offered individual intuitive spiritual counseling and Wei Chi Reiki sessions, Wei Chi Transitional Training, and a lecture on ADD: Managing the Gift. Those who have attended any of these have benefited on a personal level and in working with others.

The intuitive counseling and Wei Chi sessions have included channeled information specific for the individual in helping them identify issues important to them not only in terms of things they need to change and issues they need to pay attention to but also in areas of strength. The Wei Chi Transitional Training provided students trained in traditional Reiki with new skills in working with clients. Where traditional Reiki is a passive healing technique which helps the client to relax, relieve stress, and support the body’s own natural healing process, Wei Chi Reiki requires active participation by both client and practitioner. There is dialogue with the client before, during, and after the session. Often channel-ed information beneficial to the client comes through assisting the process of identifying issues within themselves and/or their lives which may be hindering their health, emotional well-being, or spiritual vitality. It may also point out strengths the individual has that supports them which the client may or may not be aware of. As a result of information obtained during the session, the client comes away with homework assignments. Follow-up sessions can further assist the client with their personal journey in health and well-being.

Dr. Kevin has much to offer in his understanding of how people are influenced throughout their lives with situations and issues which impact upon their health, healing, emotional well-being, and spiritual vitality. His unconventional approach has helped many in their search for support and assistance in creating change within their world.
